As part of our growth, we are looking for a:

PURCHASING & PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

As part of the Purchasing & Product Development department, you will contribute to both direct and indirect purchasing activities as well as to new product development. You will work in a cross-functional environment, collaborating with the Marketing, Quality, and Procurement teams as well as suppliers, and will receive two-fold support:

The Head of Procurement & Development, responsible for direct and indirect procurement activities as well as the overall management of projects
The Product Development Coordinator, responsible for the operational oversight of product and packaging development.

This internship will give you a comprehensive understanding of a product's life cycle, from design through procurement.

DIRECT AND INDIRECT PURCHASES
Participate in the preparation and launch of supplier consultations and requests for proposals
Analyze and compare the bids received (costs, lead times, terms and conditions, MOQ, etc.)
Contribute to negotiations with suppliers
Support internal teams in identifying and documenting their non-production procurement needs.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND SOURCING
Help develop new packaging and innovative solutions
Coordinate sample requests and follow up with suppliers
Participate in the various stages of new product development in collaboration with internal teams
Handle the administrative follow-up for development projects.

Product Data Management and ERP
Create and update product master data in the ERP system
Create and maintain product bills of materials
Compile and ensure the accuracy of logistics data related to products and components (dimensions, weight, packaging, pallets, etc.)
Ensure the consistency and quality of the data required for purchasing, procurement, and logistics operations

PROFILE

Student pursuing a 4- or 5-year degree (business school, university, or engineering school)
Specialization in Procurement, Supply Chain, Product Development, Project Management, or a related field
Prior experience (internship, work-study program, or significant project) in purchasing, product development, or supply chain is preferred
Knowledge of the cosmetics or consumer goods industry is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Proficiency with numerical data and its analysis
Knowledge of an ERP system is an asset

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with a variety of people
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
