1. Where are Evoluderm products manufactured?

At Evoluderm we are committed to offering you effective and sensorial products which benefit directly from French expertise and know-how. Our products are designed by our marketing department and formulated in our internal R&D laboratory. All our products* are created, designed and manufactured in France, to guarantee impeccable quality and close monitoring at every stage of the manufacturing process *.

*Except depilatory strips and wipes.

2. Do you test your products and/or ingredients on animals?

We do not test any of our ingredients or finished products on animals, in accordance with European regulations that have been in force since 2013.

3. Are your products sold in China (and therefore tested on animals there?)

In China, prior to marketing products in that territory, the authorities can decide to test certain products on animals without the brand’s consent. That goes against our beliefs and we hope that in the future the Chinese government will look to alternative practices.

4. Are Evoluderm products vegan?

Although EVOLUDERM does not have a vegan certification, almost all our products are vegan as they do not contain ingredients of animal origin.

The only exceptions are the Miel Gourmand (Delectable Honey) range, which contains honey, Shampooing Brillance (Shine Shampoo), which contains Silk, and the Brume Brillance (Shine Mist) and Color range, which contain Keratin.

5. I have purchased a product which appears faulty, what should I do?

6.For how long can I keep my product?

If you haven’t yet opened your product, it can be kept until the date indicated by the use by date shown on the product, alongside the pictogram of the hourglass [Insert the pictogram is possible] or the term “EXP”. This date is applicable if the product has been stored away from heat and light.

If your product is already open, however, you should refer to the PAO (period-after-opening) indicated by the pictogram of an opened jar [include the picto from a selection of proposed symbols]. This pictogram indicates the number of months during which you can safely use your product after it has been opened.

7. Do your products contain silicone?

Silicones are components used in formulas to provide a soft, fluid and easy-to-apply texture. Their use is controversial because they are mistakenly thought to suffocate skin and lead to the appearance of imperfections. In reality, they are very well tolerated by the skin and are not able to penetrate the skin barrier. They only form a protective film on the surface, capable of allowing the skin to breathe.

Therefore we use small quantities of silicones in our skincare products, for effectiveness and sensoriality, which give our formulas a pleasant, velvety feel. However, they are not contained in our haircare products to avoid weighing down the hair.

8. Can I use Evoluderm products on my children?

You can safely apply all our Evoluderm products on children from the age of 3. For children under the age of 3 years, Evoluderm has a Bébé range specially formulated and tested to take care of your baby’s delicate skin. Babies' skin is more fragile than ours, and as such needs special care on a daily basis. Our Bébé range is hypoallergenic and tested under dermatological control.

9. Do you use preservatives in your products?

n order to guarantee safe, high-quality products we use preservatives in our products. Their role is to protect the formulas from any bacterial contamination, so that these can be kept for longer and are completely safe to use. We use preservatives that present no risk to the health, in minimal quantities, and which conform to regulations, to offer products which combine pleasure and safety.

10. Are Evoluderm products tested for skin tolerance?

In accordance with European regulations on cosmetic products, we conduct skin tolerance tests on all our products and these tests are carried out by independent laboratories. We conduct patch tests (or skin irritation tests) which assess skin tolerance to verify that the product does not cause any skin reaction, and HET-CAM tests (ocular tolerance) to assess whether the product irritates eyes.

11.Can I use Evoluderm products during my pregnancy?

In case of doubt or questions, we recommend consulting your doctor for advice before applying our products.
